Peace Be Unto Thee: The I Am
Judges 6:22-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Gideon perceives the LORD's angel and fears for his life. The LORD replies, 'Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.'
Neville's Inner Vision
Here, Gideon's face-to-face with the angel is your own awareness meeting a fragment of your truth. The fear gripping him is the last vestige of a self that believes in separation from the I AM. When he recognizes the messenger as the LORD, a transformation arises: the I AM speaks peace into the chamber of his mind. In Neville's terms, this is an inner revision: you, the I AM, encounter an image of the fulfilled self—the state you desire—arising within your consciousness. The words 'Peace be unto thee; fear not' are not external commands but your inner condition: you are moved from fear to calm by the recognition that you are already held in divine presence. There is no death, only a shift in perception: you do not die to your old self; you shed fear when you accept the joy, safety, and wholeness already yours in the I AM. Practice this: dwell in the feeling that you are in the LORD's presence now, and let peace replace fear in your inner dialogue.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine you are Gideon before the inner messenger; say, 'Peace be unto me; fear not, I shall not die,' and breathe into the certainty that you are held in the I AM.
