Judges 3:10

Biblical Context

Verse 3:10 depicts the Spirit of the LORD resting on a man, empowering him to judge Israel and go to war. It signals divine help bringing deliverance to the people.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that the Spirit of the LORD coming upon him is not an external visitation but the awakening of your own I AM presence. When this Spirit rests on you, you become aware of a state in which you are not the man of yesterday but the man of the divine now. 'Judging Israel' becomes inner discernment—you distinguish between the true will of God and every habit that masquerades as it. The 'war' you go to is the combat within: doubt, fear, and limitation challenged by the certainty of your identity as God’s image. The LORD delivering the enemy into his hand is the promise that the conditions of your life bend to the assumed state you hold. Your hand prevails because you are no longer negotiating with reality but allowing reality to conform to your inner decree. This is how God works: awareness activates power; power rearranges appearances to match your inner conviction. Do not seek a historical deliverer; seek the one self you are when you say, 'I am the Spirit in action.' The outer result follows the inner acknowledgement.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and assume the state of the Spirit resting on you; feel the I AM as unwavering certainty. For the next five minutes, repeat, 'I am the LORD in action,' and notice a shift in your next choice or sensation.
