Sanctify the Inner Camp
Joshua 7:12-13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joshua 7 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Israel cannot stand before their enemies because an accursed thing is in the midst; they are told to sanctify themselves and remove the impurity from among them.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the accursed thing as a state of consciousness not a material thing. In Joshua the nation finds itself powerless before the enemy until they remove what is accursed from their inner camp. This is your inner command to sanctify to revise the assumption that you are separate from God and under threat. The I AM presence you call God has never left you but your focus on fear creates a barrier to experience. When you align with the truth that you are covenant bound and holy you stand; the inner accursed belief dissolves and you can stand before your enemies in the certainty of your oneness with the Source. The act of sanctification is an inner setting apart: you choose a different pattern of thought refuse the guilt of past missteps and dwell in a consciousness that is intact loyal and pure. Then the outer appearance follows not by force but by the inner shift and your former defeats become opportunities for demonstration of your true self.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume the state I am one with God there is no accursed thing in me. Feel the I AM saturating your inner camp as you revise that belief and let holiness stand in place of fear.
