The Inner Jordan Crossing
Joshua 3:1-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joshua 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Joshua leads the Israelites to the Jordan; the ark goes before them and they sanctify themselves, then the waters part and the people cross over on dry ground.
Neville's Inner Vision
In Joshua 3 the Jordan is the river of your current state of mind and the ark is your I AM awareness moving ahead of you. The space kept between the people and the ark marks the shift from ordinary thought to the living presence. When you sanctify yourself you’re declaring readiness for the wonders of the LORD to act within you. The priests bearing the ark are your inner instructions, carrying faith before the crowd of doubt. As their feet touch the water, you enter the Jordan and consent for the old belief to part; the waters rise and stand in heaps, and you pass over into dry ground. This is not history but a demonstration of a conscious state that parts limitation when you align with the truth that you bear the covenant within you and walk forward in faith.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, assume the I AM is present here now, and picture yourself stepping into the Jordan with the ark before you. Feel the waters parting as you claim your crossing into the promised land of your consciousness.
