Promised Land Within

Joshua 23:4-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joshua 23 in context

Scripture Focus

4Behold, I have divided unto you by lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the great sea westward.
5And the LORD your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from out of your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as the LORD your God hath promised unto you.
Joshua 23:4-5

Biblical Context

God has allotted the remaining nations as an inheritance for Israel, and He will drive them out so the people may possess the land promised to them.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the text speaks as an inner decree. The 'nations' are your beliefs, habits, and fears that have kept you from dwelling in the full state of I AM. The 'lot' is your decision to accept certain conditions as true in your mind. When you stand in this awareness, the LORD your God—the sum of your I AM—expels these inner adversaries from before you and drives them from your sight. The land you shall possess is the state of awareness you inhabit now, the promised condition of being that aligns with your highest consciousness. The outward measure—the promised land westward—speaks of a limitless field of experience available when you cease identifying with lack and fear. By recognizing and living as the state that already possesses the land, you experience the promised deliverance not as future event but as the present reality you feel and inhabit.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes, rest in the I AM, and assume you already possess the land; feel the air of abundance, revise doubt, and affirm, 'I am now in possession.'
