Inner Inheritance of Conquest
Joshua 18:1-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The people gather at Shiloh to establish their center and organize the land, and seven tribes still lack inheritance. Joshua orders a survey and division by lot, with the Levites receiving the Lord's presence as their inheritance.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of Joshua as your I AM waking to the full awareness that the land of your life is already subdued by your conscious state. The assembly at Shiloh is the stabilized center within you, where the Tabernacle—the presence of God—settles in your chest and life, and the land is subdued by the power of your awareness. The seven tribes still unassigned symbolize seven faculties of your being—imagination, faith, memory, reason, desire, will, and affection—that have not yet consciously inherited their proper expression. Joshua's instruction to send men to survey and describe each portion is your inner discipline: describe what your divisions would be if you already possessed them, so that the picture becomes real. Casting lots before the LORD is your act of surrender to divine alignment—knowing that the outcome is governed by your I AM. The Levites' inheritance being presence of the LORD reminds you that consciousness itself is your true possession, not external parcels. Those beyond Jordan indicate old identifications to be left behind, as you step into a unified inner nation, a life governed by God within.
Practice This Now
Assume you already possess your seven inner faculties as your inheritance. Describe them clearly to your mind, cast your lot with the I AM, and feel it-real as your conscious center settles into unity.
