Inner Tribes of Manasseh
Joshua 17:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joshua 17 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse enumerates the rest of Manasseh's children by family groups, showing subdivision within one tribe. It reveals the inner architecture of a people, even within one vessel.
Neville's Inner Vision
In Neville's awakening language, Joshua 17:2 is not about geography but the map of your inner self. Manasseh represents your present I AM, the alive sense of being, and the 'rest of the children' by their families are the many states of consciousness you entertain within that one awareness. The 'lot' cast for them is the act of assignment—how you divide attention, belief, and energy among your inner faculties. Abiezer, Helek, Asriel, Shechem, Hepher, and Shemida become symbolic names for aspects such as steadiness, strength, memory, order, leadership, and expression. When you rehearse unity—revoking limitation and distributing abundance across these tribes—you affirm that all these facets belong to the same I AM and can act in harmony rather than at odds. The male children are not external heirs but dynamic impulses you bring forth as choices, actions, and feelings born from your inner state. Your life unfolds in proportion to your inner census; by reassigning the lots with a conscious, loving decree, you invite wholeness and a sense of well-being.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine a fresh lot being cast for Manasseh’s rest of the families. Firmly assume that each named tribe is held in your one I AM, and feel the sense of order, abundance, and unity as already real.
