Joshua 11:6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joshua 11 in context

Scripture Focus

6And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.
Joshua 11:6

Biblical Context

God speaks to Joshua not to fear, promising that deliverance will come tomorrow. He orders hamstringing the horses and burning the chariots.

Neville's Inner Vision

The LORD in Joshua is the I AM awakening in you. Fear is simply a restless state of consciousness; deliverance is the moment you revise that state from doubt to confident reality. When He says, Do not be afraid, for tomorrow I will deliver them, He invites you to recognize that the battle is not out there but in your own awareness. Tomorrow is merely the next moment in which your inner state becomes your world. To hough their horses and burn their chariots is not a military act but a symbolic cutting of dependence on external supports—the old habits, projections, plans, and weapons you’ve trusted to protect you. By hamstringing the horses you stop fleeing into the power of circumstance; by burning the chariots you purify your imagination of tools that feed fear. Your deliverance is the consciousness that already stands free; you simply assume it, feel it, and dwell there until it becomes your visible life. So stand in the truth of I AM, and the world reorders itself to match the renewed inner state.

Practice This Now

Practice: sit in stillness and declare, 'I am the deliverance in this situation.' Then visualize hamstringing the horses and burning the chariots of fear in your mind, feeling the victorious state as present reality.
