The Sender Within

John 7:28-29 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 7 in context

Scripture Focus

28Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
29But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.
John 7:28-29

Biblical Context

Jesus declares that people know him and know his origin, yet they do not know the One who sent him; his true source is the Father. He also asserts that he knows the Source because he is from the Source and has been sent.

Neville's Inner Vision

All is inner; the temple scene is your consciousness in motion. Jesus proclaims that the One who sent him is true, though the crowd’s eyes miss the Source. In Neville’s psychology, the Sender is the consciousness that gives form to every word and deed. 'I am from Him' means your sense of self arises from the inner decree and is charged with a mission. You know Him because you are of Him; you are a living proof of the Source you imagine as God. Thus your authority and your purpose flow not from external approval but from alignment with the Sender within. When you wake to this truth, fear dissolves; you are not merely born but sent, and your life becomes the demonstration of that inner truth.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, place a hand on your heart, and declare: I am sent by the true Sender within; feel the inner decree guiding my thoughts and actions today. Revise your self-image to align with that inner decree and let the sense of mission saturate your days.
