Read John 4 in context

Scripture Focus

23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 4:23-24

Biblical Context

John 4:23-24 speaks of a worship that is not ritual, but alignment of consciousness: worship the Father in spirit and truth, for God is spirit.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the seeker, these verses announce the hour when true worshippers turn away from outward forms and meet the Father inside as your I AM presence. God is Spirit, and the Father seeks worship that flows from inner awareness, not from lips or rites. Thus the hour is your present moment of decision: you can choose to inhabit a state of consciousness in which you live as the reality you desire. When you imagine and accept the truth that you are one with the I AM that fills all space, you cease seeking God without and begin reveling in the living communion within. The spirit denotes the living thought, the feeling of being, the inner motion of your awareness; truth is the alignment with the immutable fact that you are already complete in God. Worry, lack, or fear disappear as you hold the assumption that your inner state is the cause, not the effect. In such worship, you do not beg; you acknowledge and dwell in the presence that already is.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Close your eyes, rest your hand over your heart, and repeat 'I AM'—feeling yourself as one with Spirit. Then revise any lack by dwelling in the sense that your inner state is already the truth you seek.
