Inner Worship: Spirit and Truth
John 4:20-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus teaches that worship is not confined to mountains or temples, but to the inner life of the worshiper. True worship is in spirit and in truth, offered by the I AM within.
Neville's Inner Vision
God is Spirit; you are the vessel of Now. The dialogue about mountains and temples is a parable for your inner landscape. The Father seeks worshipers who worship in spirit and in truth because the entire act of worship is an act of consciousness. When you hear 'the hour cometh', you realize the hour is always this moment—the place where you are, right now, your own awareness. Salvation pours not from outside but from within the I AM you awaken to. And worshiping in spirit means you attend to your inner life with attentiveness; worshiping in truth means you acknowledge what you already are—the living I AM that animates every thought, feel, and form. So you shift from seeking a sacred site to aligning imagination with truth, until your present mood, your seen world, reflects that inward reality. The Father, your awareness, is always seeking you to worship by turning attention inward and claiming your oneness with the Spirit.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume you are the I AM now; revise any sense of distance by silently declaring, 'I AM within me, worshiping in truth.' Then feel it real by resting your attention there for a minute until the inner light shines in your mood.
