Dwelling in Divine Love

John 15:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 15 in context

Scripture Focus

9As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
John 15:9

Biblical Context

The verse states that the Father loved Jesus, and Jesus loves you; you are invited to remain in that love and let it shape your life.

Neville's Inner Vision

John 15:9 is not a distant command but a statement of your true state. The Father's love for Jesus is the blueprint of the I AM consciousness within you. When you read 'continue ye in my love,' interpret it as a decision to dwell in the atmosphere of that love—the steady feeling of being cherished by the one presence you acknowledge as God. The moment you accept that you are loved, you are no longer a separate self negotiating approval; you are awareness loving itself through you. Obedience and faithfulness then become natural expressions of a mind saturated with affection, not duties pressed upon a tired will. Practically, rotate your attention to the feeling of being loved and let that feeling govern your thoughts, choices, and moods. If a fear or lack arises, revise it by returning to the remembered fact: I am loved by the Father, I am one with that love, and therefore I act from it.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, recall John 15:9, and declare, 'I am loved by the Father; I dwell in that love now.' Feel that embrace and let it guide your next choice.
