Abide and Command: Inner Prayer

John 15:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 15 in context

Scripture Focus

7If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
John 15:7

Biblical Context

John 15:7 invites believers to dwell in Jesus and His words; when that inner alignment is present, prayer aligns with the truth and what is asked becomes reality.

Neville's Inner Vision

To abide in me is to dwell in the state of consciousness where you know you are one with the I AM. 'My words abide in you' means you feed your mind with the reality of God’s truth until it becomes the living grammar of your life. When you assume that your desire is already fulfilled and permit the inner speech of God to guide your thoughts, you no longer beg from an outside power; you become the living prior cause. The request arises from the inner agreement between your assumed self and the truth of your being. The moment you feel the wish as present tense and claim your oneness with the divine Word, you will see the outward results align with that inner state. This is not mental trickery but alignment with reality; prayer is the interior act of becoming aware of what already stands in God’s mind about you.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, rest in the I AM, and say: 'I am one with God; His words dwell in me.' Then imagine a moment where your desire is already fulfilled, feeling the reality as if it were now.
