Unity Beyond Hatred: John 15:23

John 15:23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 15 in context

Scripture Focus

23He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
John 15:23

Biblical Context

John 15:23 declares that to hate Jesus is to hate the Father. It reveals that the Christ and the Father are one in your inner life.

Neville's Inner Vision

To hate me is to hate my Father also is not a condemnation of a person but a disclosure of your inner state. Christ stands for your awakened consciousness—the I AM that you are when you entertain truthful thoughts and faithful feeling. If you resist that light, you separate from the Father within, creating a veil between your awareness and its source. The Father is not elsewhere; He is the I AM who animates every thought, every desire, and every action. Hatred toward Christ is simply resistance to that I AM, a refusal to align your mind with the truth that Christ and Father are one. When you notice hostility toward the idea of the Christ, you are invited to revise your state. See the inner Christ as your higher self shining upon every aspect of your life, and feel the unity of the Father within you. Your task is to cultivate faith and obedience to that inward truth. Love the expression as the love that binds the whole of consciousness together, and watch hatred melt into harmony, clarity, and unity.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and declare softly, 'I and the Father are one; the Christ within me shines now.' Dwell in that felt truth until a warm unity spreads through your chest.
