Inner Pruning and Fruitfulness

John 15:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read John 15 in context

Scripture Focus

2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
John 15:2

Biblical Context

Within every believer, branches that fail to bear fruit are removed. Those that bear fruit are pruned so they may yield even more.

Neville's Inner Vision

John 15:2 speaks to the inner vine of your awareness. 'In me' means within the I AM that you are, the true branch that bears your life. Fruitfulness is the evidence of belief becoming form. When a thought or habit does not bear fruit, the Father, your own higher self, removes it from the field of your imagination—quietly, without struggle—so that nothing obstructs the next growth. The branch that bears fruit is not left to stagnate; it is purged, trimmed of stale images and fears so it may bear even more later. This is inner psychology: pruning is the refinement of your sense of self, not punishment. The moment you hold to a new state as already yours, the old self that resists begins to fade, and the new fruit appears in form. You are not contending with a distant deity but with your own thought-laden life; the miracle is your inner revision.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and say I am the I AM; I abide in God; release the belief that this desire is blocked; imagine the fulfilled state as already mine.
