Biblical Context
Even with many miracles, many did not believe. Isaiah's prophecy speaks of blindness and a hardened heart, so they could not understand or be healed.
Neville's Inner Vision
Let us read the verse as a mirror of your own inner state. The belief that the multitude would not believe is not outside you; it is a state of consciousness you have tolerated. The miracles witnessed symbolize levels of awareness available to you here and now. When you say, they could not believe, you are naming the habit of mind that clings to appearances and treats separation as real. Esaias speaks to your inner vision: the 'arm of the Lord' is the living power of I AM expressing as your perception. To be blinded and to have a hardened heart is to refuse the immediate implication that you are one with the healer. The conversion required is not a future event but an interior turning toward the truth that you already possess. Believe that you are healed, as you would a verity claimed by your own consciousness. The miracle is completed in the inner world first; then, as you reclothe your outer experience with that conviction, healing manifests.
Practice This Now
Assume the I AM presence as your sole reality and revise 'unbelief' to 'I believe; I am healed now.' Close your eyes and feel the healing touch as if it is present in your body.
