Inner Passover Insight
John 11:55-57 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read John 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The scene shows a Passover near; people cleanse themselves and seek Jesus in the temple, while leaders plot to seize Him.
Neville's Inner Vision
John 11:55–57 whispers to the consciousness that Passover is not a calendar clause but a shift of inner state. The outward cleansing the people perform mirrors the clearing of fear, doubt, and old stories from the mind so that the I AM can shine. The question they pose in the temple—will He come to the feast?—is your inner hesitation about acknowledging the Christ in this moment. The priests’ and Pharisees’ command to expose the place of Jesus is not politics; it is the ego’s demand to control spiritual revelation, to keep the inner light off the street where it might disrupt the world’s order. Neville would have you see that the feast is already prepared within, that the presence of Jesus is the awareness you wear as your own being. When you assume the Christ is here now, you arrest the impulse to seek Him elsewhere and let the purification finish. The temple becomes quiet; the seeker becomes the sought; and the inner kingdom opens, not by marching outward, but by turning within and calling, I am the Christ in this temple.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and breathe; in your mind, gently repeat 'I am the Christ in me now' while sensing a warm glow filling the temple of your mind. Stay with that feeling for a few breaths, as if the feast is already present.
