Everlasting Zion Within You
Joel 3:20-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joel 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Judah shall endure forever and Jerusalem across generations; God will cleanse the blood that has not yet been cleansed, for the LORD dwells in Zion.
Neville's Inner Vision
I tell you the truth: Judah and Jerusalem are not distant lands but states of consciousness that endure as you awaken to the I AM within. When the verse says the LORD dwelleth in Zion, it means your awareness is permanently inhabited by God. The 'blood' to be cleansed is not blood of history but the memory of separation—guilt, fear, and old self-images you have not forgiven. As you hold the vision of an unceasing, loyal covenant with the divine I AM, you rewrite the drama of the past. The cleansing comes as you refuse to identify with lack or error, and you return your attention to the presence that never left. Your inner Judah remains, and your inner Jerusalem, because God is not external but the light that you are aware of. In that light, every movement within you tones down resistance, and the sense of separation dissolves into unity. This is not a future event but your present realization: the covenant is kept by your steadfast attention to the I AM here and now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling 'I am dwelling in Zion now.' See the inner Jerusalem as your quiet, untroubled consciousness; let guilt dissolve as you repeat, 'The LORD dwells in me.'
