Inner Fields Of Joel 1:17-20
Joel 1:17-20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Joel 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Desolate land; crops fail and beasts suffer as drought and fire press upon the speaker. The cry to the LORD arises from a conscious sense of lack.
Neville's Inner Vision
All the visible ruin in Joel is a mirror of a living state of consciousness, not a weather report. The seed rotten under the clods is the belief that life is scarce, a seed of limitation buried in the soil of your mind. The desolate garners and barns reflect the sense that your inner storehouse is empty and supply distant. The groaning beasts and the fires symbolize restless thoughts and fears that scorch energy when attention is fixed on lack. When the rivers dry, energy stops flowing; when the forests burn, growth seems impossible. The cry O LORD is the awakening to the I AM, the awareness that you are the source of all life. By turning to that Presence, you can revise the scene: imagine your fields lush, your storehouses full, the streams running again. Do not seek externally; feel the abundance as your own birthright, and let the inner conviction nourish the outer world.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise: restate the scene as already fulfilled—fields green, rivers running, barns full. Say I AM the source of all supply; feel the vitality flow through you now, and let the outer world catch up to your inner conviction.
