The Day of the LORD Within

Joel 1:15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Joel 1 in context

Scripture Focus

15Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
Joel 1:15

Biblical Context

Joel 1:15 announces that the day of the LORD is near and will come with the power of the Almighty.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Joel’s stark line lies an invitation to consciousness. The 'day of the LORD' is not a distant catastrophe but a present shift in awareness. When you hear 'at hand,' understand that the Kingdom is closer than your next breath; it is the illumination that your I AM is present and governing you now. The 'destruction from the Almighty' is the purifying fire by which you shed the old self, the belief in lack, separation, and time. Fear is the weathered shield you have mistaken for reality; when you realize you are the I AM, the shield dissolves, and with it the sense of being overpowered by external force. The Almighty is not external to you but the living consciousness that you are. As you hold that you are the one presence, your inner world reorganizes to reflect this truth, and the outer events will follow the renewed state. The day does not arrive; it is the moment your attention recognizes the truth that you are one with God, and that realization patiently dissolves limitation.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the day is now and rest in the I AM; breathe in that awareness until the sense of separation dissolves. Feel the purification as old fear dissolves into clarity.
