Inner Command Over Clouds

Job 38:34-35 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 38 in context

Scripture Focus

34Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
35Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?
Job 38:34-35

Biblical Context

These verses question human power to command natural forces, revealing that outer weather mirrors inner state; true authority comes from the I AM within.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of Job’s inquiry as the voice inside you asking whether you can reach the clouds with your speech and compel the waters to cover you. The scripture does not threaten you with weather; it invites you to observe that the only real command is the command you are willing to grant to your own sense of I AM. When you assume the state that you can call forth abundance, you become the one lifting up your voice to the clouds, and the clouds respond as your inner climate. The abundance of waters and the lightning are symbols of thoughts and realizations that travel at the speed of belief. As you dwell in the awareness I AM, you see that "Here we are" is not an external event but the inner alignment of ideas answering to your conscious assumption. You cannot direct what you are not prepared to own; the test is not outside but within, and providence follows the inner revision of the self.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, settle into I AM, and imagine speaking to the clouds as if your word carries reality; feel the inner atmosphere shift and the water and lightning respond as your perception does.
