Inner Kings and Righteousness
Job 36:1-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Job 36 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Elihu declares God’s might and wisdom, and that He cares for the righteous. He does not spare the wicked, but grants justice to the poor, and He establishes the righteous as kings and sustains them.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the Neville reading, Elihu is describing the inner governor of your life—the I AM that rules from within. 'God is mighty' becomes the recognition that your present awareness is all‑powerful and all‑wise when you identify with it. The claim that He 'despiseth not any' teaches that no state of consciousness is rejected by your inward God; every aspect of you is included in the I AM, even patterns you call 'wicked'—they are simply old, habitual parts awaiting revision. The line 'with kings are they on the throne' speaks of inner sovereigns you awaken by aligning intention with truth; when your consciousness sees itself as righteous, it acts as guide and ruler of events, not the other way around. To interpret 'He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous' is to realize that sustained attention from your awareness is your life’s resource; the inner eye remains on the right path, and from this awareness you can grant 'right to the poor'—not charity from without, but justice born of humility and clarity within. In short, every verse is a reminder that your world is a manifestation of your inner state.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume the I AM is ruling your inner life now. Feels it real by repeating, 'I am the righteousness of God, and I reign on the throne of my mind.'
