Biblical Context
Job 34:26-28 speaks that God sees wickedness openly and that turning away from Him brings trouble; it also says the cries of the poor rise before Him and He hears the afflicted.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the reader, Job 34:26-28 is not a timetable of punishment imposed on others, but a map of your own inner weather. The line that he striketh them as wicked men becomes, in Neville's method, the moment you judge yourself as separated from the I AM; the act of turning back mirrors the self-willed thoughts that deny divine presence. The cry of the poor is the inward voice of neglected needs calling for recognition; when you do not consider any of God's ways, that inner complaint seeks attention and can seem to travel outward as fate. Yet the truth you are asked to remember is that the I AM hears the cry of the afflicted because the cry is your own consciousness calling you to awaken. By resting in the realization that you are the consciousness that rules, not the circumstance, you reverse the motion: allowance replaces attack, compassion replaces judgment, and the world’s cries echo your awakened feeling. You do not battle the world but change yourself, and the world within and without follows.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling that you are the I AM governing this moment. Close your eyes, place a hand on your chest, and silently affirm that the cry of the afflicted within you is heard and answered by you as the ruler of your experience; breathe into that awareness until it feels real.
