Light Behind the Hedge: Job 3:23
Job 3:23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Job 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Job asks why light is given to a man whose way is hidden and who feels hedged in by God's care.
Neville's Inner Vision
Job’s question is not a curse but a map of your inner weather. The way is hid only because your present consciousness has not yet realized the state it already is. The light that seems withheld is your clear awareness of the true I AM you are in this moment. The hedge is the boundary carved by current assumptions, a wall you can walk through by entering a higher state of consciousness. When you say, 'I am the light,' or 'I am free now,' you are not conjuring a future rescue; you are affirming the reality of your essential being and inviting it into the present. Revision is a discipline: assume the end you desire, feel the reality of it now, and dwell in that feeling until it becomes natural. As you persist, the inner walls lose their solidity and the outer world rearranges to match your inner state. The light does not arrive from without; it is the awakening of awareness you allow by turning away from lack toward the fullness of your I AM.
Practice This Now
Assume the state, 'I am the light within; my way is clear.' Feel this as real in your body for 3–5 minutes, and walk through your day carrying that sense of resolution.
