Inner Kingdom Reading

Job 21:19-20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 21 in context

Scripture Focus

19God layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know it.
20His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.
Job 21:19-20

Biblical Context

The verse presents a law of inner causation: the consciousness one lives in stores up consequences for the self, and the future is a reflection of that inward state.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within these verses the 'iniquity laid up for his children' is not an external sentence but the law of inner causation at work in consciousness. Your awareness is the bank where every thought and feeling is deposited, and the future you witness is a reflection of that inward state. When you fear destruction or imagine wrath, you are rehearsing a scene you are actively creating in mind and memory. The 'wrath of the Almighty' is the heat of awareness that exposes resistance and blame, not a bludgeon from outside. Yet this is not doom but a signal calling you to awaken to a new state of being. By recognizing that the One Life—the I AM— is untouched by past judgments, you can revise the entire scene by assuming harmony, justice, and safety as your present condition. Persist in this inner state, and the inner account balances; what you once feared dissolves into a living peace, and your life becomes a clear testimony to the truth you choose to inhabit.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume the I AM as your only reality, and revise the memory by declaring, 'There is no debt of past action against me; the divine order now renders me safe and complete.' Feel the truth as if it were already so.
