Biblical Context
Job 20:4-5 states that the wicked's temporary joy and the hypocrite's fleeting triumph are short-lived, reminding us that true outcomes are rooted in lasting inner states.
Neville's Inner Vision
Know that the so-called triumph of the wicked is not a conquest of reality, but a momentary mood in consciousness. You are not watching a battle of persons, but the shifting scenery of your own inner state. The old custom of men 'placing' themselves upon earth is a reminder that you create time and events by the states you accept as true. When you feel a passing joy in another's apparent victory, recognize it as a temporary belief, a wind in the room of your imagination. The I AM, your true awareness, remains unaffected and impartial; it does not judge from fear nor boast in triumph. By returning to a fixed, unshakable awareness of divine order, you revise the scene from within. The wicked's triumph loses its hold as you persist in the certainty that the end is just and that you are already in alignment with righteousness in your inner world. Imagination is the instrument through which you cast the final verdict; the outer world must follow your inner decree.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In 3 minutes, assume the feeling of the I AM as the steadfast judge; picture the scene already aligned with justice and let that inner decree rewrite the outer outcome.
