Scripture Focus

28But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?
Job 19:28

Biblical Context

Job 19:28 suggests the root of the conflict lies within the observer, inviting us to examine our inner state rather than blame others for our experience.

Neville's Inner Vision

To the ear that listens, Job's line sounds like blame, yet it is a doorway. The root of the matter is found in me, because I, the I AM, am the one who experiences every scene. In this view, the 'persecution' your friends bring is but a reflection of a belief you hold about yourself. If you imagine that you are at mercy of others, you awaken the very condition you fear. But if you return to the awareness that you are the creator, you can revise the story with a single, faithful assumption: I am the presence that perceives; nothing can harm the I AM. When you stop projecting fault outward and instead awaken to your inner unity with God, the outer voices lose their sting. The Promise and Presence become real as you dwell in the idea that you are already free and loved. Your consciousness is not at the mercy of circumstance; it is the sovereign state within which all events unfold. Rest in that awareness, and the persecutory drama dissolves into quiet illumination.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and silently affirm: 'The root of the matter is found in me; I am the awareness in which all things are seen.' Then revise a current grievance by assuming a peaceful outcome and feel it real.
