Light Restored Within: Job 18:5-6

Job 18:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 18 in context

Scripture Focus

5Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
6The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.
Job 18:5-6

Biblical Context

The verse declares that the wicked’s light and inner spark are extinguished, bringing darkness into their dwelling. It presents judgment as a consequence of a life aligned with separation from truth.

Neville's Inner Vision

From the I Am perspective, this is not a warning about others but a mirror of your inner states. When consciousness dwells in fear, lack, and separation, the light within you dims and the spark of life seems to vanish, even as the outer scene remains. The tabernacle becomes dark because attention has narrowed to limitation; your candle is put out because you have identified with a powerless self. Yet the message is not fatal: you can revise your state. Identify with the timeless I Am, the unquenchable light, and assume that your true identity is not diminished by appearances. Hold the feeling that your inner flame shines through every circumstance, and let your imagination align with wholeness, justice, and vitality. As you persist, outer conditions reflect the inner certainty you cultivate, restoring light to your dwelling and renewing your life.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and revise your self-image by affirming I AM the light of my being; picture a bright candle glowing in your chest and feel it as real, then carry that feeling into your day.
