Inner Weariness, Inner Witness

Job 16:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 16 in context

Scripture Focus

7But now he hath made me weary: thou hast made desolate all my company.
8And thou hast filled me with wrinkles, which is a witness against me: and my leanness rising up in me beareth witness to my face.
Job 16:7-8

Biblical Context

Job laments being worn out and separated from his companions, with visible signs of suffering testifying against him.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within Job's complaint is not merely physical pain, but a revelation of inner states. What he calls weariness, desolation, wrinkles, and leanness are images of a mind fixated on loss. In Neville's light, God is the I AM, the aware witness that never departs; your consciousness imagines forms, and thus makes them real. The images of fatigue and witness against him reveal a belief that life is other than the I AM. When you repeat 'I AM,' you reverse the seen world by assuming a state that already is whole, present, and unchanging. The desolation of his company becomes the isolation of a mind that believes it lacks, while the wrinkles become markings of a past belief, not a concluding fact. Dare to entertain a new state: the I AM as your only companion, abundance, and health; see your face not as witness of decline but of the inner certainty you dwell in. By faith and inner revision, you dissolve the old form into a fresh sense of reality.

Practice This Now

Practice: close your eyes, breathe, and revise the sense of weariness by saying, 'I AM the vitality of God now,' and feel the inner witness confirming it as real.
