Inner Breakdowns and Waters

Job 12:14-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Job 12 in context

Scripture Focus

14Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
15Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
Job 12:14-15

Biblical Context

God demonstrates control over what can be built or broken, and over the life-flow itself. His acts—restricting or releasing waters—shape the world.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of this as a whisper from the I AM within you: God in Job is the living principle in you that dissolves the old self when it has served its purpose. When you feel that a structure cannot be built again, you are witnessing the conscious mind shedding its former identity. The 'shutting up' of a man is simply the closed door of an outdated pattern making room for a newer life. The waters, withheld or released, are the currents of life in your own consciousness. If you hoard them, dryness follows; if you revise and accept the felt truth, the waters surge and overturn the earth of your appearances. This is not punishment but the reclaiming of your sovereignty by the I AM.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state you want as already true: I AM the life and order of my world. Feel the old walls dissolve while a living stream of energy flows through you, overturning the old earth into the new.
