Inner Judgment of Idols
Jeremiah 51:52 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 51 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The Lord says He will judge the idols across the land. The land will groan as the wounds of that judgment are felt.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember, the graven images are not outside you; they are the fixed beliefs you entertain in place of the I AM. The coming judgment is the breakdown of those inner idols—false pictures of yourself, of power, of limitation—so that your awareness can freely reveal the truth. As you cling to the old images, the inner landscape aches and groans; this is the psychical groan that Jeremiah calls forth. But that groaning is not punishment; it is the purging of you from every image that stands between you and the I AM. The day of judgment is the moment you discern you are the I AM, and you choose to revise by holding a new inner image: you are whole, you are free, you are God in action. The land becomes your mind; the wounded are the old beliefs dissolving. Practice this: assume the feeling of the I AM now, and see the idols melt into light as you imagine true worship.
Practice This Now
Practice: Assume the feeling of the I AM now; revise one idol-like belief by imagining it dissolving into light, and rest in the clear sense of your wholeness.
