The Inner Yoke of Knowledge
Jeremiah 5:4-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jeremiah laments that many are poor and foolish because they do not know the LORD's way, and contrasts those who claim knowledge with those who break the yoke.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you the 'poor' and 'foolish' are the states that have forgotten the I AM—awareness that you truly are. The 'way of the LORD' is the inner rhythm by which thoughts are aligned with your divine nature; it is not a distant rule but the discernment that moves you from fear to faith. When the text says 'I will get me unto the great men,' it mirrors the habit of seeking authority outside your own consciousness—a habit you can revise. The great men who 'know the way' yet 'burst the bonds' reveal the error: one can claim knowledge while resisting the inner discipline of living it. Your 'yoke' and 'bonds' are not alien chains but meanings you have accepted in place of truth. If you assume the inner state that you are the I AM knowing the way, the world reorganizes to reflect that alignment. Judgment becomes discernment; judgment of God becomes your inner standard that frees instead of binds. You are not condemned but invited to awaken to the truth you already hold. The verse thus whispers: revise your inner belief until you know the way and walk in the liberty of that knowing.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume the state 'I AM knowledge' and feel it real. Revise any sense of bondage and walk today as one free by inner law.
