Read Jeremiah 5 in context

Scripture Focus

30A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;
31The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
Jeremiah 5:30-31

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 5:30-31 speaks of a land where false prophets and self-serving priests rule, and the people tolerate the illusion. And what will ye do in the end thereof?

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the Neville lens, the land is your interior state, and the wonderful and horrible event is the moment you discover you have allowed borrowed voices to govern your world. The prophets prophesy falsely = your thoughts promise outcomes you do not inwardly consent to; the priests bearing rule by their means = external authorities you have trusted, rules of fear, doubt, or tradition that do not originate in your I AM. And my people love to have it so = you cling to these habits because they feel familiar, even when they degrade you. Yet this is not punishment but invitation: you can turn from the illusion by assuming a higher consciousness now. The true rulers sit within the indwelling I AM, not in outward institutions; truth becomes your living law as you refuse to yield to old predictions. When you adjust your inner level, the outer scene must shift to reflect that revised state. Your end is simply the end of the old you and the birth of a consciousness that knows itself as the source of all prophecy and fulfillment.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes, hold your heart, and declare I AM the I AM in this land; I govern my mind now. See a luminous inner governor replacing the old voices and feel the truth flowing through you for 3-5 minutes.
