Jeremiah 46:22-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 46 in context

Scripture Focus

22The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood.
23They shall cut down her forest, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable.
Jeremiah 46:22-23

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 46:22-23 depicts a serpent-like voice and a mighty army striking a land, cutting down its forest because the attackers are countless and unsearchable. The passage emphasizes overwhelming forces described as innumerable.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the I AM, the verse reveals not external armies but inner states of consciousness. The serpent-voice and the marching hosts are your habitual thoughts and fears, impressions you have accepted as real. The forest is your inner abundance and powers, now realigned and renewed when you reclaim the throne of awareness. The line that the attack cannot be searched outside invites you to turn within, for the source of all events lies within your consciousness. When you acknowledge that you are the I AM and that imagination is the cause, you can revise the scene by assuming a new state: the serpent’s voice is quieted, the army dissolves, and the forest flourishes again. Feel the truth of your own wholeness—imagination must be used to create reality—and watch the outer conditions reorder themselves to reflect your revised inner state.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, breathe into your chest, and imagine the forest growing back; repeat 'I AM' while feeling the serene presence of abundance, assuming the state of fullness until it feels real.
