Deliverance Through Trust Within
Jeremiah 39:16-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 39 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God announces the city’s doom, yet promises deliverance to the one who trusts Him. Faith becomes the shield that preserves life.
Neville's Inner Vision
Jeremiah’s words are not only about a city in time, but about any inner city you inhabit. The doom spoken to the state of fear is the result of thinking you are separate from the Source. The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, is your I AM—the awareness that endures when the noise of danger crowds in. Saying 'I will bring my words upon this city for evil and not for good' is your mind naming a belief system that would doom you; the truth is you can choose differently by listening to the one voice that never leaves you, the voice that says, You will be delivered. When you 'put thy trust in me,' you switch from battling symptoms to aligning with the unseen power that animates you. The sword you fear never defines you; your life becomes a nourishment for faith, not fear. The promise 'I will surely deliver thee' is your present possibility when you dwell in awareness rather than in threat. Here, doom dissolves into the doorway of peace, forged by trust in your own indwelling I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, declare 'I am delivered,' and feel the truth settle into your bones. Imagine your inner I AM shielding you from fear as you move through the day.
