Biblical Context
Jeremiah 39:11–12 shows Nebuzaradan charged to guard Jeremiah, to do him no harm, and to act according to whatever Jeremiah directs.
Neville's Inner Vision
All events on the surface are but symbols of your inner life. Nebuchadrezzar, the king of Babylon, represents an outer state of command pressing on your situation. Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, is the disciplined focus of your mind, assigned to protect the truth. Jeremiah is the inner I AM—your living image of awareness craving expression. When the outer king commands protection—‘do him no harm’—you hear the inner instruction to shield your truth from attack. And ‘do unto him even as he shall say unto thee’ invites you to yield to the inner decree, to let the image you hold dictate the events you accept and enact. The world’s orders are not random; they reflect the interior state you are rehearsing in imagination. By accepting protection as your dominant state, you reveal that fear, harm, and temptation are but misread signals, coaching you to return to your sovereign act. The guard’s obedience to the inner word proves that your consciousness is directing experience from within, not from without. Thus you are kept from harm as you align outward action with your inner command and fulfill your self-chosen purpose.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the role of Jeremiah—your I AM image—command your guard to protect that truth and to act only according to your inner decree. Feel the protection as real, here and now.
