Prophetic Counsel Within
Jeremiah 38:15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 38 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jeremiah fears that speaking truth to Zedekiah could cost him his life, and he questions whether his counsel will be heard.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the scene, fear of death is not a thing to fear but a state of consciousness you entertain. Jeremiah's question to Zedekiah is the inner test: will your inner authority be heard or killed by your own doubt? The key is to notice you are both Jeremiah and Zedekiah in the same moment, the I AM behind them, the one who speaks and hears. When you adopt the consciousness of the speaker who is not afraid to declare truth, you revise the scene. Your I AM can listen patiently to the inner king without shrinking; the fear is simply resistance imagining it will be fatal. If you pretend that your counsel is already accepted by the inner ruler, the heart calms, and the mind opens to guidance. The world then reflects your inward state—sound conviction becomes audible in your outer life. Practice by assuming you have spoken truth and are loyally heard, and feel the assurance of that hearing already present.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, declare silently, 'I am the I AM; I speak truth to the inner king and am heard.' Then feel the sense of being received.
