Jeremiah 33:17-18 Inner Throne
Jeremiah 33:17-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God declares David will always have a throne in Israel, and the Levitical priests will always have a place to offer burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within me the throne of Israel is not a political chair but a state of consciousness I call the King and Covenant. The promise that David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne becomes a directive to me: there is a constant, unbroken rule of a certain consciousness, once I claim it. The priests and Levites, who offer burnt offerings and kindle meat offerings, stand for the daily acts of devotion I perform in imagination: attention, gratitude, and service that sustain the altar of my mind. When I imagine myself as the ruler who holds steady in the awareness that I am, I am aligning with a timeless order that does not depend on external circumstance. The 'throne' and the 'offerings' are not past- or future-events but present states I cultivate by attention, belief, and feeling. If I fear lack or division, I revise by acknowledging the inner king and inner priest within; I feel the reality of ongoing worship as a continuous state of gratitude, service, and reverence. This is the covenant renewed in my own consciousness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly and declare, I AM the king seated now upon the throne of my true self. Feel the inner seat and offer continual gratitude as the altar of your mind.
