Read Jeremiah 31 in context

Scripture Focus

22How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.
Jeremiah 31:22

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 31:22 speaks of a divine renewal: the Lord creates a new thing in the earth, and a woman encircles the man. It signals a shift in consciousness from wandering to a settled awareness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Jeremiah speaks of a backsliding daughter, yet the Lord is declaring a new thing born within. In Neville’s sense, the backsliding is a state of consciousness clinging to lack, separation, and time; the new thing in the earth is the created state of awareness where the I AM recognizes itself as the only reality. The line A woman shall compass a man points to the sufficiency of inner feeling: the feminine principle of receptivity and imagination encircles the masculine I AM, enclosing it in a new, complete radiance. When you dwell in the I AM as your true identity, the surrounding world bends to your inner state; what you perceived as a return of the old collapses into a new creation. The inner woman is not otherness but the completed balance of consciousness, the dreamer who encircles the man (the focal point of awareness). Do not strive to pull the outer world to you; rest in the conviction that you are the one who creates and sustains this new condition by imagining from the end. Your present circumstance is the sign of this inward birth.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly and declare I AM is the reality. Imagine a gentle feminine light circling the center of your chest and feel the surrounding embrace as you already stand in the new creation.
