Inner Shepherding of Self

Jeremiah 31:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 31 in context

Scripture Focus

10Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.
Jeremiah 31:10

Biblical Context

Jeremiah 31:10 proclaims that God will gather Israel from the nations and protect them like a shepherd keeps a flock. This gathering is not distant geography but an inner act of unity within the soul.

Neville's Inner Vision

View this verse as a map of inner life. The 'nations' and 'isles' are the distant voices within your mind; the 'scatterings' are the fragmented states of consciousness. The promise that He will gather and keep Israel becomes a practice: your scattered parts—fear, hurt, doubt—are not lost but drawn together by the I AM, the ever-present awareness within you. When you hear the call and declare it in the isles afar off, you are naming the unity already established in your consciousness. Providence and guidance appear as the orderly movement of imagination, bringing every part into alignment with one another, as a shepherd brings the flock to safety. This is the New Creation: renewal of memory, intention, and feeling into a single field of awareness. Sit with this truth: you are not trying to obtain something from outside; you are waking to the unity of the self under the one I AM, who keeps and tends you with perfect care.

Practice This Now

Assume the belief: I AM the shepherd of my life; all scattered parts are gathered now. See and feel the flock of my being moving into unity under the I AM.
