Inner Exile, Inner Restoration
Jeremiah 25:8-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 25 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Because the people did not heed God's words, judgment comes from the north, bringing invasion, desolation, and seventy years of servitude. After that period, God will repay the nations for their deeds.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the history you read is a mirror of your inner states. When you disregard the word of the Lord within, the north wind of stubborn beliefs sweeps across your interior land, and desolation follows as a natural result. The seventy years symbolize the time you remain identified with limited thoughts and fears; during that season you seem to lose joy, sound, and light. Yet the reality behind all appearances is the I AM, the living presence that never abandons you. If you awaken to that truth, you can revise the script now: invite the land to be restored by your inner decree, hear the voice of mirth return, and feel the candlelight of awareness illuminate every corner. Nations and kings in this sense are inner aspects of your mind, subject to your decree, not external rulers. When you cease fighting this inner weather and align with the I AM, the desolation dissolves and your world reorients to harmony, abundance, and a renewed sense of purpose. Your deeds then reflect a consciousness that has chosen life instead of fear.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe gently, and revise the scene as already accomplished. Feel the land restored, joy returned, and the light of awareness brightening every corner.
