The Inner Cup of Judgment
Jeremiah 25:27-33 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 25 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage declares that people will drink a cup of judgment, and if they refuse, they will still drink it. It foresees widespread upheaval, sword, roar, and a final fate for the old order across the earth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Let the cup be your current state of consciousness. The Lord of hosts is the I AM within you, the sovereign awareness that measures belief by the consequences you call into life. When you read of drinking and spue and falling, see it as your own experience of fear and separation draining away as you become aware that you are not the fallen but the witness who drinks the cup to re-create it. The sword that I will send is the law of cause and effect pressing your attention until you release the old identification. The great roar from on high is the inner verdict of truth when you finally acknowledge that you are the I AM rather than the world’s judgment of you. The controversy with the nations is your inner dialog about who you are; the evil that goes forth is the outdated belief that you are separate from God. When you accept this, the whirlwind of old thoughts dissolves and the slain becomes the past, not the future. Your job is to prophesy to your own mind that you are one with the I AM and nothing else.
Practice This Now
Assume you are the I AM inside, tasting the cup and declaring I am the LORD of hosts; this fear is only a dream dissolving in awareness. Feel it real until your sense of separation melts into one radiant presence.
