Inner Kingdom Trial
Jeremiah 2:15-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage describes attackers ravaging the land and breaking the crown of leadership, signaling internal upheaval and judgment. Read spiritually, it points to inner states masquerading as outer circumstance.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the Jeremiah verse, there is no external siege that can take root unless your consciousness lends it reality. The young lions are the sharpened thoughts that roar at the borders of your awareness; the land that is wasted is the inner country you call your life when you dwell in fear, resentment, or judgment. The burning of cities signifies stories youve allowed to burn away your sense of self; and the broken crown of thy head is the mistaken belief that your power resides outside your I AM. In Neville terms, the punishment is only a signal to revise the state you currently inhabit. You can refuse the narrative by choosing a higher identification: know that the I AM within you remains unimpaired by appearances. When you imagine yourself as that I AM, calm, sovereign, unshakeable, the invaders evaporate into suggestion. The outer world rearranges to reflect the inner alignment you maintain. Your task is to persist in the feeling that you are the thinker, and what you think, you become.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling of the I AM reigning unchallenged: close your eyes, breathe, and silently affirm, 'I AM the sovereign within; no external roar can touch the crown of my consciousness.' Imagine the lions dissolving into mist and the land becoming whole again as the crown is restored.
