Inner Return and Restoration

Jeremiah 16:14-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 16 in context

Scripture Focus

14Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
15But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
Jeremiah 16:14-15

Biblical Context

God promises a future restoration: not only from Egypt, but from the north and from every land where they were scattered. It is a promise of gathering and renewal.

Neville's Inner Vision

The text speaks of a coming day when the Lord lives in you as your awareness. The old exodus from Egypt stands for bondage you have believed as real. The north country and the lands where you have been driven symbolize the scattered conditions of mind you have accepted. But the promise is internal: the I AM within you will awaken and gather every dispersed portion of your being, returning you to the land your fathers had in mind, a state of right order, security, and abundance. When you understand that the days of restoration are your present inward movement, you cease seeking a distant deliverance and grant yourself the actual experience of revival here and now. The return is not to a geographical place but to a state of consciousness in which you know yourself as the child of promise, and the power by which you are governed is your own awareness.

Practice This Now

Practice sitting quietly, relax the body, and mentally declare I AM restoring me now; imagine returning to a homeland of peace within as if it is already true; dwell in that feeling until it becomes your ongoing reality.
