Jeremiah 15:1-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Jeremiah 15 in context

Scripture Focus

1Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.
2And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.
3And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.
Jeremiah 15:1-3

Biblical Context

God tells Jeremiah that even Moses and Samuel cannot turn His mind toward this people; they are to be cast out and sent forth. If asked where to go, the message names four fates—death, sword, famine, and captivity—signs of judgment that will unfold.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your Jeremiah is your own inner state, not a mere people. The line about Moses and Samuel standing before the Lord signals that even the finest inner advocates cannot hold favorable regard toward a belief you have decided to separate from. Cast them out of my sight becomes an instruction to withdraw your attention from the old self-image you have identified with. The four kinds of judgment—death, the sword, famine, captivity—are not external punishments but four inner conditions you entertain when you cling to limitation: fear, aggression, lack, and restriction. The divine mind is not abandoning you; it is inviting you to shift your consciousness. When you hear the question where shall we go, you answer with a firm spiritual assertion, Thus saith the LORD, and you reframe your world by choosing a new state of being. If you dwell in a new assumption, you contract your inner weather toward renewal, and the old pattern dissolves as you persist in the new feeling of life as God here and now.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the I AM as your true identity. Revise the scene by declaring you are alive in God and not this old self, then rest in that feeling for several breaths.
