Inner Peace Over False Prophecy
Jeremiah 14:13-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 14 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jeremiah records the claim of prophets that there will be no sword or famine, but God declares they lie; true peace cannot come from their words. The passage invites us to seek inner certainty rather than external assurances.
Neville's Inner Vision
Jeremiah speaks of men who call themselves prophets, promising safe passage and tranquil days while the sword and famine loom. In truth, the scene you call 'outside' is only a movement of your own consciousness. The lie is not in the mouth of a man but in your belief that there exists a power apart from the I AM. When you accept a vision of safety from a voice that is not your own essential God-state, you are entertaining a divination of the heart—a thing of nought, a mirage of memory. The Lord tells Jeremiah that they prophesy in God's name without command; similarly, any thought that claims sovereignty over your life but does not originate within your true I AM is a false image. Your task is to return to the one reality: I AM. By assuming the truth of your own omnipotent consciousness, you revise the inner weather. The apparent danger dissolves as the inner state aligns with the truth of being, and peace becomes your present condition rather than a future promise.
Practice This Now
Assume the one reality I AM right now; revise the current scene to reflect inner peace as sovereign. Sit quietly and feel the truth of peace as your daily life.
