Biblical Context
Jeremiah 13:24–25 speaks of God scattering the people like stubble blown by the wilderness wind, because they forgot Him and trusted in falsehood.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, the scattering is a shift of your states, not a punishment from on high. The stubble represents thoughts, memories, and identities you have allowed to drift when you forget the I AM present as your own awareness. The wind of the wilderness is the restless mind chasing appearances, the sense that you are weathered by circumstance. But the Lord is not outside; He is the I AM within, the unwavering witness that never departs. When you believe you are apart from this inner truth, you displace your life into fear and falsehood, and the energy flits away like dry grass. Return to the one reality that never leaves you: I AM, here and now. In that return, exile dissolves, and the scattered bits reassemble as a stable, integrated consciousness. Practice this continually: assume the state of the unscattered I AM and feel the truth of your wholeness as if it were already yours.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, inhale, and on the exhale whisper, 'I am the unscattered I AM within me.' Then dwell in the feeling of wholeness until it replaces the old sense of separation.
