Inner Covenant Remodeling
Jeremiah 10:16-25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 10 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jacob’s portion represents the true maker of all things, and Israel is the Lord’s inheritance. The passage warns of destruction when leaders neglect God and reminds us that human plans fail without the I AM directing our steps.
Neville's Inner Vision
See this as a map of your inner weather. The 'portion of Jacob' is your essential self—the divine maker of all things; 'Israel' is the rod of your inheritance, the living pattern that follows from awareness. The LORD of hosts is the I AM by whom all form is summoned. When it says 'gather up thy wares from the land,' you are being called to collect your mental possessions, prune what does not belong to your true self, and prepare space for a higher order to enter. The threat of distress signals the old structures being shaken so your inner home can be rearranged. 'My tabernacle is spoiled' and 'my cords are broken' show how external conditions reveal inner misalignment; 'the pastors are brutish' are beliefs not seeking the Lord, and thus they shall not prosper unless you turn inward. The line 'the way of man is not in himself' invites you to stop leaning on ego and to let the I AM direct your steps. Your fear of desolation is simply the old dream dissolving; the correction spoken of is a compassionate inner revision, not punishment. You are the I AM imagining your life into form.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the inner role of Jacob—the former of all things. Vision your mind's tabernacle being restored, cords renewed, and every plan reoriented by the I AM; dwell there until you feel the guiding calm of that presence.
