North Winds of Inner Judgment
Jeremiah 1:14-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Jeremiah 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The LORD declares that a judgment arising from the north will come upon the land because its inhabitants have forsaken Him and worshiped idols and the works of their own hands.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider that the land and its gates are your inner state. The north represents those currents of thought that have taken throne in your mind—habit, fear, pride, and the seductive images you call real. When the Lord says He will call the families of the kingdoms of the north, He is describing the inner assembly you have allowed to govern perception. The judgment uttered against their wickedness is the inward recognition that those idols—idolatry, the worship of external powers, the works of your own hands—hold no enduring authority. This is not a punishment but a turning of attention. Reclaim the throne by recognizing the I AM as the sole Power within. As you align with the inner king, the "thrones" and gates shift from fear to faith, and the imagined enemies dissolve as you maintain the truth that you are the consciousness that creates form. The outward pattern becomes a mirror of your inner state, and judgment becomes purification rather than condemnation.
Practice This Now
Assume the I AM as the sovereign ruler of your mind and revise any sense of lack or threat by declaring, 'Only the I AM is real in me now.' Feel the inner winds settle as you hold this awareness at the gate of your perception.
