Restoring Truth Within James 5:19
James 5:19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read James 5 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse indicates that when someone errs from the truth, there exists a path to bring them back through conversion or correction.
Neville's Inner Vision
From Neville's vantage, the verse is not about external error but a movement of consciousness. If an aspect of your being has 'erred' from the Truth, you do not chase the fault; you invite a higher sight—the I AM—into the chamber of your mind. The one who converts him is the moment when your awareness quietly witnesses the mistaken thought and replaces it with its own undeniable reality: you are one with God, the All, and the truth you seek already stands within. The erring state is simply a belief in separation; by assuming the opposite as real, and feeling that assumption to be true, you convert the misperception back into truth. The internal conversion is a shift of state, not of facts; through imagination you 'call forth' the truth from within, and the outer picture changes to match. So rest in the certainty that your inner I AM can heal any wandering and render the erring state harmless by reproduction of truth in feeling.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit, close your eyes, and revise by affirming 'I AM the truth of my being' until that sense of oneness feels real; then imagine the erring thought dissolving into unity.
